Methylsulfony|methane (MSM) is a naturally occurring source of bioavailable nutritional sulfur for horses which aids in the prevention of sulfur deficiency in their diet. DMSO has been used to successfully reduce the swelling and inflammation in joints and also soft tissues after trauma or injury for many years. DMSO is rapidly distributed and metabolised in the body but the therapeutic effect of DMSO has consistently appeared to last longer than could be explained. MSM is a direct metabolite of DMSO, methylsulfony|methane (MSM) has since been found to provide the longer term benefits.
